Dropped by Adelaide Zoo to see the Panda Bears as I have never send them before. They are all the rage at the moment as they only arrived in Adelaide recently.

The Adelaide Zoo has been doing a big redevelopment of the entrance area as part of the building of the Panda enclosure & it looks great. The Zoo is located on the edge of the Adelaide CBD & is easy to walk to. If you want to see the Panda’s be sure to book a time online, there is no cost but the numbers are limited for each session during the day.

I was out for a walk & just going to get a ticket for the next day but they had some spare times in the afternoon so I jumped in. Got a nice discount with the YHA members card also.

The panda’s are still adjusting to their new enclosure & don’t come out much yet + it was a damn hot day so I would have like to rest indoors just like them. Still it was cool just to see a panda in real life.

As you can see from the pictures below there is a lot more going on at the Zoo. They have a farm yard contact area where kids big & small can pat the farm animals. There is also a native animals contact area but like the panda’s these locals were resting in the shade also.

I am sure everyone says it but for me the Meerkat’s were the cutest. They are amazing animals & seem to note everything around them & play to the crowd.

If you are in Adelaide drop by the Zoo for a visit.
